Meet Your Guide in Ghirardelli Square

Your day begins just off of Fisherman's Wharf in Ghirardelli Square. Now home to shops and a luxury hotel, the entire city block was the headquarters of Ghirardelli Chocolate until 1963. Meet your guide for the morning, strap on your helmet, and hop on your e-bike for this journey through the Golden City.

A city known for its many hills, people often ask is San Francisco good for biking? With our electric bikes, the answer is absolutely yes! Thanks to pedal assist and bike lanes across the city, an e-bike is the ideal way to see San Francisco.

The Panhandle and Golden Gate Park

As you depart the bustle of the marinas, you will reach the narrow stretch of trees and paths know locally as the "Pan." See impressive redwood and cypress trees as you pedal towards the grand entrance to Golden Gate Park.

In Golden Gate Park, take in the natural beauty as you head down the paths of the third-most-visited park in the United States. See the windmills, statues, and even the famous Japanese Tea Garden as you explore the park.

Haight-Ashbury

Depart the tranquility of Golden Gate Park and enter the neighborhood of Peace and Love. See where the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Sly and the Family Stone created music based on the philosophy and culture of the hippies in the 1960s.

See the shops, restaurants, and murals that maintain the neighborhood's history. Your storytelling guide will point out famous locations that changed art and music forever.

Painted Ladies, The Castro, and the Mission District

San Francisco is full of color and vibrancy. In Alamo Square, take in the iconic Victorian houses painted in stunning pastels, including the home of the Tanner Family from the "Full House" TV show. These are the city's most famous residences.

Color is raised to a whole different level in the Castro. Home to one of the country's oldest and most influential LGBT communities, the rainbows across the Castro are full of meaning and culture.

Next, your group will head to the Mission. Named after the site where Spanish missionaries set up their first church, the area is now home to much of San Francisco's Latino roots, restaurants, and history.

Though lunch is not included in the tour, your guide will be sure to provide you with awesome recommendations from across the neighborhoods you have visited on the tour.

We had a wonderful time on our bike tour. The bikes are actually e-bikes, so there it was basically no effort at all. We were a bit worried that it was going to be a super workout, but you literally breeze right over the hills of San Francisco! Our guide was knowledgable and seemed to have an interesting story at every turn of the city. I highly recommend!

Best way to see San Francisco!

What a great trip around the city. We were a bit unsure when we booked, because we had never been on an e-bike before and didn't want to make this a sporty tour. We were assured that it would be easy and it was! This was my wife's and mine first trip to SF and we saw all the main highlights including the Mission District and The Castro neighborhoods. The e-bikes were great up the hills with minimal effort and our tour guide told us fascinating stories about the history of the city. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city for the first time.

Amazing experience.

Went to SF for the first time with my father a few days ago. Our tour guide Robert Diosdado was outstanding. My father was not used to biking and yet Robert was willing to go the extra mile to make sure that he was comfortable and had fun on the tour. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the SF area and took us to so many cool places. Our bike tour ended abruptly due to a flat tire and Robert went out of his way to try and fix it in order to finish the tour. He was more than willing to finish the tour the next day with no extra charge and made our time in San Francisco truly amazing. I’ve taken many city tours all around the world and Robert stands out as one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. Unlimited Biking is extremely lucky to have a guide of his quality on their team. Next time I’m in SF I would like to do another bike tour with him. Highly recommend.
